Meg Ryan is a celebrated actress, who exhibits versatility and natural charm in every role she plays. She most recently starred in Cheryl Hines' directorial debut Serious Moonlight. Other recent film credits include The Women, The Deal and In The Land of Women. Ms. Ryan's comedic appeal was widely recognized in her first Golden Globe-nominated performance in When Harry Met Sally. She subsequently garnered Golden Globe nominations for Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. Acclaim has also come for Ryan's distinctive dramatic portraits, including her roles in Courage Under Fire and When a Man Loves a Woman. For her performance in Promised Land, Ryan earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Ms. Ryan's additional film credits include: City of Angels, French Kiss, In the Cut, Kate and Leopold and Proof of Life among many others. A Connecticut native, Ms. Ryan embarked on her acting career after studying journalism at New York University. She made her motion picture debut in Rich and Famous, and attracted the attention of moviegoers and critics in her 1986 performance in Top Gun.






Daniel Junge is an Academy Award nominated documentary filmmaker from Denver, Colorado. Mr. Junge's films have aired on over 50 broadcasters worldwide, including HBO, PBS, and the BBC. His feature films include the Tribeca Film Festival winner Chiefs, the Toronto Film Festival premiered Iron Ladies of Liberia, and the South by Southwest Festival winner They Killed Sister Dorothy. The latter was short-listed for an Academy Award for Best Documentary and this year Mr. Junge's new film, The Last Campaign of Governor Booth Gardner, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short. Mr. Junge’s short documentary, Come Back to Sudan shared the Shortsfest 2008 Audience Award.

 

 


 

 

Sarah Siegel-Magness is the managing partner and co-founder of Smokewood Entertainment. Established with her husband Gary Magness, Smokewood focuses on producing films with positive messages for diverse audiences. Their most recent production, Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire was nominated for six Academy Awards including Best Picture and took home the Oscars for Best Adapted Screenplay and Actress in a Supporting Role. Precious has also received numerous accolades including a best picture win at the Independent Spirit Awards. Ms. Siegel-Magness’s other credits include Aaron Woodley’s critically acclaimed drama Tennessee, staring Mariah Carey and Ethan Peck, upcoming film and television projects based on Megan McDonald’s book series "Judy Moody", and the documentary Amongst Brothers, which follows an indigenous Brazilian tribe in their quest to become self sufficient. A Colorado native, Ms. Siegel-Magness is actively involved with a number of philanthropic causes, including Food Bank of the Rockies, New Yorkers For Children, and The Fresh Air Fund.




 

 

David Arata Los Angeles-based screenwriter David Arata began his feature writing career with Jonathan Kaplan's Brokedown Palace featuring Claire Danes and Bill Pullman, followed by Tony Scott's Spy Game starring Robert Redford and Brad Pitt. In 2006 he received an Oscar nomination for Best Writer, Adapted Screenplay for Alfonso Cuarón's Children of Men starring Clive Owen. Following his screen adaptation of William Gibson's novel, Pattern Recognition for Peter Weir, he has recently finished adapting Robert Kurson's best seller Shadow Divers for Fox 2000. He is currently writing Hexum, an original script, for Sean Bailey and Disney and has a deal for a TV series at ABC.
